Battery Connection Cable Installation with Eyelets (Cod. STD2V)
The following steps are required for correct installation of the device. Please remember that the recommended configuration (with the battery connection cable always on board the vehicle) allows you to perform the following procedure only the first time.
We recommend that you proceed with the utmost caution (see the Warnings and Safety section in the instruction manual) when connecting the cable to the battery and, if necessary, to have the operations listed below carried out by your BC Battery Controller Dealer / Retailer:
Connect the STD2V cable to the battery, making sure that the black wire connects to the – terminal (negative pole) and the red wire to the + terminal (positive pole).
Fix the cable connector in a convenient location to reach.
Whenever you need to connect the charger, simply remove the protective cap from the STD2V connector and connect the charger.
Furthermore, to avoid poor electrical conduction, it is recommended to periodically clean the battery poles with a wire brush to remove any encrustations or dirt deposits and to firmly tighten the eyelets on the battery poles.
Battery Charger Installation
Remove the protective cap from the STD2V cable and connect. If you use the connector with clamps (Cod. 30AMPPZ), connect the black clamp to the – terminal (negative pole) and the red clamp to the + terminal (positive pole). If you use the ACC612V cigarette lighter adapter, connect the battery charger connector to the adapter and insert the latter into the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle.
Check that the charger is turned on (Red LED or LCD display on in error mode due to lack of power).
Connect the device to the 220V mains socket.
The charger, once connected, will begin the charging cycle.
PLEASE NOTE: to charge the products that also have the test function (BC Bravo 900, BC Bravo 1500, BC 3500 and BC 9000) must first be connected to the mains and then to the battery.
Disconnecting the Charger
Disconnect the charger from the 220V power supply.
Disconnect the charger connector from the battery connection cable.
If you are using the STD2V cable with eyelets, replace the protective cap on the connector and place the cable in the compartment provided.
Store the charger in the supplied box to minimize exposure to the elements.
